Magical Moments -

I wrote you a novel...
So I've been in Baltimore the last couple of days. It has been glorious to say the least. We are in very sad circumstances, but I have loved getting to spend so much time talking, laughing, crying, and remembering.... I say "crying", but that was really just me... those Auckers are stoic (in a good way!)

Magical Moment #1
Nate's grandparents have a small pond in the backyard... We sat on the edge of the dock for a long while talking and giggling until it hurt. He is my best friend.
Magical Moment #2
Nate and I went to "Grandmom"'s room and put her bulletin board of pictures and letters into a box.... Again, I am such a baby, but that was a special moment for Nate and I. There were pictures of us and his siblings and nephews, and love notes from Jack to Clara (that's what got me)
Magical Moment #3
Nate and I also went to a wedding on a farm somewhere by the ocean. Nothing like someone else's wedding to raise my heart rate.... But we ended up walking down to the pier (in between downpours) and enjoyed the ocean and fresh baby geese and a nice little dance under the clouds.
Magical Moment #4
Today I got the opportunity to meet Nate's Uncle John. Probably not something I'll get to do again anytime soon, but I'm so glad we got to spend a couple of hours with him. He kept telling Nate that he picked a good one (referring to me).... I'll take it. There is something very moving about seeing a grown man cry when he sees his sister for the first time in nine years.... and in the same meeting he makes me feel like a million bucks.
So now I say goodbye to the Auckers and Winks and Huffingtons and baby geese and giant trees and doggies (that was a not so magical moment, bull dogs are my new least favorite)... Anyway, as cheesy as it gets, these "magical" moments are the ones that remind me how lucky I am to be loved by such a great guy and his family. I am currently waiting for my delayed flight out of San Diego to watch the monsters finally run their long awaited Marathon tomorrow!!

T minus 35 days until our wedding!
